What is Hypnotherapy and What Can It Do? Hypnotherapy is for health and a type of preventative medicine. It assists people to overcome issues and break free from destructive thought patterns or behavioural traits that spoil their quality of life.
Hypnotherapy , and particularly self-hypnosis, has helped others and could help you to cope effectively with the pressures and stress of modern day living.
Hypnotherapy is not just about problems. It is about getting in touch with why you are the way you are, and achieving effortless change to become - 'Your Ideal Self!'
The Effectiveness of Hypnotherapy and How it Differs from Other Therapies During hypnosis a client is in contact with their sub-conscious mind, which is the seat of all emotional and behavioural problems. Most other forms of therapy are carried out at a conscious level and the will power of the conscious mind is inadequate against a learned response from the past. Personal responses and emotional reactions are like computer programmes that keep on running, causing the same unpleasant effects until they are dealt with.
Problems arise when a behaviour pattern or programme occurs in response to a situation that happened in the past. Circumstances have changed and the behavioural response may now be unacceptable, inappropriate or outdated. Hypnotherapy provides the opportunity to change responses on a sub-conscious level, which is similar to updating files on a computer. Hence, the scope for achieving positive change and long-term benefits is phenomenal.
Hypnotherapy is increasingly accepted as beneficial by the medical profession who acknowledge the interconnection of the mind and body. By harnessing the power of the subconscious mind and changing existing or negative behaviour patterns, helps resolve inner conflict and empowers clients to take personal responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.
Doctors and health professionals recognise the effectiveness of hypnotherapy for treating a wide range of conditions including stress, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, pain, irritable bowel syndrome, asthma, migraine and numerous other psychosomatic disorders.
Advanced Hypnotherapy techniques enable the skilled practitioner to provide dynamic and rapid resolutions to a wide range of nervous, emotional and physical problems.
Hypno-Healing is a specialised method that addresses physical problems by harnessing the mind and body to heal itself. Only graduates of the world renowned Atkinson-Ball College are trained in Hypno-Healing.

Can anyone be hypnotised? Yes, if they want to be.
Will I be asleep? No. You will be aware of what is going on all the time and just feel relaxed.
Can I be forced to do anything against my will? Emphatically - NO! The client is always in total control.
Are there any harmful side effects? Definitely not because hypnosis is a natural phenomenon, we all experience every day.
How many visits will I need? Three to four sessions are generally sufficient but for more deep-rooted problems possibly five or six visits are required.

Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) NLP is the 'art and science of personal excellence', developed by John Grinder and Richard Bandler in California, USA. They studied the behaviour of successful people who had obtained outstanding results and reached the top of their field. Others were encouraged to model the skills and techniques, and found the benefits were effective and equally as successful.
The theory of NLP is based on three layers of understanding:
Neuro: establishing our unique mind map of the world
Linguistic: how we assign personal meaning to information
Programming: our individual behavioural response to the former.
NLP offers a range of dynamic procedures to assist psychological, emotional and physical problems. It is a means of interpersonal communication, based on the subjective study of language and personal change. When combined with hypnosis these procedures are extremely powerful for personal development and positive change.
Since the inception of NLP in the early 1970's, these strategies have continued to flourish worldwide and are regularly implemented in business, education and sporting fields.
